Personal Data Collected in the Interest of Combatting Fraud
DJ Jolt Entertainment currently collects personal information at times where feasible to ensure the security of both our business, as well as the security of every individual’s credit and identity. This includes times when we accept payment, in the form of a personal check or electronic payment with a credit or debit card, in order to ensure the payment is being made by the true account holder, cardholder, or authorized individual.
DJ Jolt Entertainment will sometimes request a high-resolution copy of the true account holder, cardholder, or authorized individual’s State-issued Driver’s License (front and back). DJ Jolt Entertainment will sometimes request a high-resolution copy of the true account holder, cardholder, or authorized individual’s Credit or Debit card (front only), when applicable. DJ Jolt Entertainment uses this information you provide for the purposes for which it was originally collected, for example, to verify the identity of the individual making the payment, and ensure that they are making payments using their own cards or checks. DJ Jolt Entertainment also uses this information for follow-up in regards to and at times when a payment is declined, cancelled or otherwise contested. This information will be stored securely, and for short periods. When this information has fulfilled the purpose for which it was collected, such as when a payment fully clears, DJ Jolt Entertainment will securely erase all traces of your data from our systems. DJ Jolt Entertainment will never share any information collected, and will never request any information superfluous to or in excess of what has already been outlined in this policy.
Information collected for these purposes will be verified. For example, when requesting the aforementioned documents, in the case of payments being made via electronic invoice, we will match your Driver’s License to the name on your Credit or Debit Card. We will then use the reverse side of your Driver’s License to verify the authenticity of the document. If the match is authentic, we will then issue an electronic invoice, to be paid using only the Credit or Debit Card supplied to us for verification. If electronic payments are made using a card where the final four digits of the card number do not match the final four digits of the card used to pay the invoice, we will automatically refund and refuse the payment. Upon the time at which payments are cleared, we will immediately destroy any copies of your personal information.
Children
DJ Jolt Entertainment does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are under the age of eighteen, please do not give us any personal data. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personal data to DJ Jolt Entertainment, please contact us, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.
Governing Law
This privacy policy forms part of our Web site Terms and Conditions and as such shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut.
